Winter 2011/2012 outreach...
The winter of 2011/2012 was our first time of reaching out to our brothers and sisters, the homeless of Spokane, Washington. We were joined by many from our local church family, and it was a great blessing to us all. This is a long term ministry for us here at Fountains of life, let us share a little with you of what we saw...
There were more than we expected. Many more...
In fact, we fed 80 people the first time out, and the last time we went, it was around 159...
And another thing was shocking. These people are people. Just like you and I. They have stories. They have had hard lives, and many did not choose to be where they are. We met people from every walk of life. Hungry for food? Yes.
But even hungrier for the gospel.
We will never forget our friends on the streets, and can't wait until we can get out there on the streets with them again this winter, from October to May...
